WordPress Niche Stores

Build a WordPress Niche Store With phpBay

WordPress niche stores are a quickly growing, fast and effective way to set up an online business. We built our niche store with WordPress and this is what our VineSites are based on. It was a simple matter of several steps and we were up and running. Here are the resources we used to build it.

1. Registered a domain name and web hosting account:
We signed up with Bluehost.com, through them we were able to do these two steps in one place and they have WordPress as an integrated option with their package. There are lots of companies out there that offer these services, we found Bluehost easy to use at a decent price and good support the rare times it was needed.

2. After getting our Bluehost account we activated WordPress for our new domain through the control panel.

3. Once WordPress was installed we purchased a copy of phpBay Affiliate Software as plugin for Wordpress.

4. Then we went to the eBay Partner Network and set up a free affiliate account with them.

5. After that we transferred our phpBay plugin to our WordPress account at Bluehost, activated it, inserted our affiliate id # and following the easy phpBay instructions began building auction pages.

In a nutshell it was that easy. There are many different ways to customize WordPress as auction affiliate page using different templates and plugins but it is usable to create a WordPress niche store right out the box using the default template and the phpBay plugin.
